Lucio Jimenez, Jr., raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. Graduated from Roy Miller High School. Enlisted in U.S. Marine Corp on September 1966, during 1968 completed a year tour in Viet-Nam with the 1st BN 4th Marines 3rd Marines Division and was awarded the Purple Heart.
June of 1972 with family arrived in Oregon and made their home in Washington County.
Lucio’s working career started in 1972 with Siemens in Tigard, Oregon. In 1984 began employment with Intel Corporation as a Supporting Technician and then as a Project Coordinator.
After 32 years in the work force retired on May, 2003.
As a new Career change and plans for the future; Started as a hobby with the launch of the “TejanosdeOregon.com” website in 2003. The website was created with the intentions of providing the Greater Pacific Northwest with a link to Tejano Music, local information and Events. The passion is so great that during 2003 – 2005 invested personal dollars to bring Tejano music artists to Oregon in order to provide Tejano Music to Northwest. Artist included; Chente Barrera, Marcos Orozco, Lazzo, Tejano Boys, Los Tremendos V, Megan Leyva, and Joey Farias. A new web page (ww.tejanodeoreogn.com) created in December 2009.
Resume also, includes volunteering with Latinpointe, Tejano Convention Event and Tejano/Conjunto Festival in Sacramento, California.
During 2005 founded the MDJ Foundation to help Latinas with Domestic Violence.
